Job Title: Process Technician – Enzyme Manufacturing
Location: Nantgarw, Cardiff
Salary: £20,000 – £24,000 DOE + 15% shift allowance + bonus + substantial benefits
Position: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Working 4 x 12 hr day shifts (rolling week) Start time: 6:00 am/Finish time: 6:00 pm
(During training period – hours will be 4 x 12 hr day shift – 4 on/4 off rolling week)

The Role:
Due to our on-going commitment to expanding our manufacturing capabilities within our fermentation plant, we have an opportunity for a Process Technician who will be part of our highly motivated team.
5 GCSEs A-C grade including English and Maths or equivalent or NVQ (L3) in Process Operations or Cert. in Process Technology (L3) is essential along with experience in safely operating and maintaining equipment such as fermenters, centrifuges, tanks, pumps and filters.

Key Duties:
- Preparation, start up and monitoring of enzyme plant production process
- Trouble shooting and resolving technical/product issues
- Working closely with Operations, Quality and New Product Development teams when developing new prcess/technical capabilities
- Solving process problems and exploring innovative solutions
- Ensure maintenance of plant and equipment is carried out to agreed schedules
- Routine maintenance operations
- Working with your team on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Be conversant with and adopt the procedures stated in the Quality, Environmental Management System (QEMS) Manual and its supporting documents
About you:
- Operate effectively, efficiently, and safely all plant/equipment needed in production of speciality enzyme
- Food Safety, HACCP and GMP
- FLT operator
