Are you ready to take the reins in a critical role that ensures the safety and well-being of our most vulnerable adults? Look no further – we’re seeking a dynamic Practice Improvement and Performance Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the Head of Safeguarding Adults.

In this vital and strategic position, you won’t just be another team member; you’ll be the driving force behind delivering a resident-focused, ultra-efficient service. Your mission? Protect and safeguard our most vulnerable adults who are at risk of abuse.

Collaborating closely with our Head of Safeguarding, you’ll be the go-to expert on the Care Act 2014, Safeguarding Adults, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) across all our services. Your mandate is to cultivate a culture of relentless improvement and data-driven decision-making.

About you:

Please note, to be considered for this role you must be a qualified Social Worker, with Social Work England Registration.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring that Adult Social Work, including Mental Health, complies with the latest legislation and policies, such as the Mental Capacity Act, Care Act, London Multiagency Adult Safeguarding Policy and Procedures.
  • Continuous Enhancement: Elevating our social work processes, including enhancing our case management system and crafting practice guidance that sets the bar high.
  • Raising Standards: Spearheading a mission to boost practice standards across the board by establishing a robust audit framework.
  • Performance Management: Playing a pivotal role in embedding a performance-driven culture by providing insightful management information and coaching support to our managers.
  • Influential Coaching: Your expertise will empower our team and service managers to drive individual and collective performance to new heights.
  • Tailored Training: Collaborating with Heads of Service to identify training needs and designing a personalized training plan across Adult Social Work.
  • People-Centric Care: Ensuring that every individual’s needs are met through a personalized approach, maximizing their independence and minimizing social care service demand.
  • Legal Excellence: Maintaining a watchful eye over all court and legal proceedings, ensuring the highest quality, timeliness, and adherence to judicial protocols.
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Chairing and attending strategic multi-agency groups to enhance practice and provision. Linking in with social workers and managers to ensure adherence to agreed practice standards.

Work Life Balance

  • 36 Hour Week – Enjoy a standard 36-hour workweek for all full time staff.
  • Generous Holiday Entitlement – You will receive a minimum of 26 days annual leave each year, in addition to bank holidays. This entitlement increases to a maximum 37 days after 10 years of service.
