Job Title: Plant Fitter

Operating from our HQ near Heathrow, in Ashford Surrey, working hours are 7am – 5pm Monday to Friday. What makes Plantire different to other in the field is our family-like atmosphere, care for our staff, and our attention to customer service. We always aim to have all staff back to HQ before 5pm for close of business daily, and only very rarely do any out-of-hours or weekend work.
About the role:
Job Description: Enthusiastic and reliable fitter wanted, to become specialist hoist installer. Plant fitters, or applicants with similar backgrounds, with experience in electro-mechanical plant, sought to work with, and learn from, our qualified hoist installer/engineers in the preparation, erection, dismantling, servicing and maintenance of Goods Hoists, Transport Platforms, Gantry hoists and their associated gate systems and accessories.
Desired Skills and Experience:
No specific qualifications required. Understanding of electro-mechanical systems (motors, switches, locks, etc) highly beneficial.
Reliability and good time-keeping vital. APPLICANTS MUST BE HAPPY WORKING AT HEIGHT.

On the job experience gained through working in the workshop and out on customer sites (along with some home study to pass H&S testing) will provide the majority of the experience and knowledge required to become a qualified installer and pass the assessment to gain a Level 2 NQA Diploma in Plant Installations (Hoist).
