Job Title: Payroll Accountant
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £45,000 – Dependant on experience

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Accountant supporting employees in EMEA and APAC (India). The Payroll Accountant will assist with processing the payroll for approximately 300+ employees utilizing ADP Streamline in 9 countries. You’d work as part of a global team and have the chance to work in a large global organisation that is continuously growing.
Responsibilities
- Processing of monthly payroll(s) for international employees to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on-time.
- Ensure accurate data entry of employee changes including but not limited to new starters, leavers, tax forms and direct deposit authorizations forms.
- Respond to garnishment summons from the courts and set-up as required.
- Responsible for the extract of data from the time and attendance system, validating and processing in the appropriate payroll system.
- Assist with the auditing of payroll to ensure proper transmission.
- Facilitate consistent and timely resolution of employee issues, concerns, and questions by responding to internal customers.
- Solve complex payroll issues relating to employee pay and associated taxes.
- Work closely with Corporate Accounting to ensure an accurate payroll interface to the general ledger system and other payroll related entries for month end close.
- Assist with generating reports on a regular or on demand basis to support payroll processing and other requirements associated with year-end.
- Participate in audits of payroll-related activity to ensure compliance.
- Prepare data files as required for year-end reporting for employees and the associated government filings.
- Interface with HR team and management regarding payroll questions and employee requirements
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain payroll files to ensure they are secure and easily retrievable.

Candidate Requirements
- 4 years’ multi country payroll experience preferred.
- 1 -2 years’ payroll experience with United Kingdom preferred.
- Working knowledge of auditing concepts and controls, pay calculations regarding overtime, pre-tax deductions.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or equivalent work experience.
- ADP Streamline experience for international payroll processing preferred.
- Workday experience a plus
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word).
