The Role:

Valens Medical Partnership is the largest family doctor-led GP Practice in the Northeast, looking after the healthcare needs of around 52,000 patients across Northumberland.

Our surgeries are situated in Ashington, Cramlington, Lynemouth, Morpeth, Newbiggin, Pegswood, Seaton Deleval and Seaton Sluice. You will mainly be based at our Cramlington Surgery and must be able to travel to other surgeries to meet the requirements of the role.

Full time hours are 37 per week, part time opportunities also available. Shifts are worked between 8am – 6.30pm, Monday to Friday with a requirement to cover our extended access hours up until 8pm and Saturday mornings 9am – 1pm (on a rota basis).

Main Duties:

Handle all first line patient contact routed to our central navigation team via telephone and online/digital channels. Work out the most appropriate and efficient patient pathway, ensuring that the patient is connected to the right care solution. Create an outstanding patient experience that is responsive to need, minimises complaints and delivers the most cost-effective solution for the partnership. Promote self-service solutions and administer resulting activity. Carry out front of house reception duties. Undertake administrative tasks to assist the primary care clinical team.

Ideal candidate:

You will possess a confident and sympathetic nature when dealing with the public, excellent customer care and communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Previous experience in a similar role within customer service or call centre environments would be an advantage, however full training will be given.
