About the role:
Join us as our Pastry Sous Chef, you will be part of an inspiring, creative team where your culinary expertise forms a part of who you are. You will be working alongside our Head Pastry Chef, using the finest suppliers and exceptional quality seasonal produce to achieve excellent dishes within our dedicated Pastry team.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure the smooth running and management of The Beaumont Pastry kitchen in the absence of the Head Pastry Chef.
- Work closely with the Head Pastry Chef to develop menus and pastry offerings of the highest quality.
- Produce exemplary food for all services as required, with an effective management of the team and department.
- Support the Head Pastry Chef in the training a development of junior members of the team, encouraging an engaged and creatively driven environment.
- Assist in the ordering and stock control within the pastry department.
- Ensure that the cleaning of the kitchen, equipment and all food service areas is to the highest standard.
- Communicate effectively with other relevant managers and departments to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
- Understand and comply with food hygiene regulations and HACCP.
- Follow Health and Safety Policies and Procedures in addition to COSSH.
