Job Title: Partnerships Development and Sales Director

About the role:
The Partnerships Development and Sales Director is a new role with responsibility for leading the creation, execution and successful delivery of our targets, working with colleagues to identify and convert new partnerships with Higher Education Institutions and/or other learning providers. Fundamental to the role is the ability to quickly get to grips with complex issues, put them into a wider context and determine how best to sell the TechSkills proposition.
The Partnerships Development and Sales Director will work closely with the Managing Director to grow the customer base and make the most of opportunities for new products, services and projects.
The person appointed will show capability and potential to build on a strong foundation of solid relationships with Higher Education Institutions, have a good external reputation and excellent stakeholder relationships.
This role requires someone with the communication skills, confidence and drive to grow their own profile and that of TechSkills. This is a hands-on role and you will be expected to create, manage and close your own pipeline of sales opportunities.
The role is target driven, working towards monthly, quarterly and annual fiscal targets. You will work alongside a team committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for students and learners through existing partnerships. Your role will be to identify, convert and develop new partnership opportunities to increase our impact and reach whilst delivering the best financial results.
Key duties:
- Develop a strategy and business plan to deliver substantial growth
- Drive growth of the Higher Education Institute/learning provider customer base and develop and deliver new revenue generating products, services and projects
- Build an activity planner covering identification, approach, contact, meetings, proposals and closure
- Through research build approaches for prospecting and prepare a pitch plan that can be tailored to individual prospects
- Collaborate with marketing and the wider team to expand market reach and develop campaign and communication plans
- Attend events and conferences (locally and nationally) to build contacts and networks and promote the TechSkills value proposition to prospective HEIs/learning providers
- Develop and maintain prospecting records to produce sales reports including activity progress and sales achievement forecasts
- Identify shortfalls versus targets and propose solutions to address
- Ensure accurate paperwork for new HEIs/learning providers and retain close contact during their first 6 months to ensure high satisfaction ratings, feeding back on any areas that require action
