Job Title: Partnership Development Director – TechSkills

Salary: £60,000 per annum based upon experience plus quarterly based performance bonus and comprehensive benefits.

TechSkills open up routes to tech & digital employment by promoting training and development programmes which are valued by industry. The Partner Development Director is central to our ambitious growth plans, responsible for developing successful partnerships with key stakeholders such as private training providers and employers.
About the Role:
The Partner Development Director will be responsible for developing and growing our partnerships with HEIs and Learning providers. Reporting in the CEO you will sit on the leadership team.
As the Partner Development Director, you will be responsible for ensuring that TechSkills has a layered presence in all cities and counties in the UK. Because we believe that every area of the UK should benefit from access to a diverse and skilled tech and digital talent base, ready to go into industry, public sector and SMEs. Ready to make a positive impact on the organisations they become a part of, and in turn the local and national economy.
This is a role requiring a high level of strategic awareness as well as practical delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement a partnership strategy to increase new partners, revenue and learner numbers for industry-accredited training programmes
- Lead a small team who together with you will build a strong pipeline of partner opportunities which not only act to give confidence to future revenues but act to drive innovation and agility in this space
- Redefine the service offering, along side the senior team
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and potential partners
- Build partner development plans for each of our existing learning providers
- Input into new product and programme development using insights gained from customer conversations and market understanding – acting as the voice of the customer you will advocate for our partners both internally and externally
- Participate in relevant regional and national events to build contacts and networks and promote the TechSkills value proposition to prospective employers/learning providers

- Sales in a B2B environment, working at C-level, well able to navigate the world of academic institutions
- Strong back ground in education

- Passion and understanding of tech sector skills needs
- Self-starter, able to plan and deliver effectively whilst working alone or in collaboration with others

Essential Knowledge and Experience:
- Extensive experience in sales and/or business development
- Extensive experience in the Education sector
- Clear demonstration of personal impact in a ‘hands on’ role that put ideas into action and delivered outstanding results
- A proactive decision-maker who is able to effectively analyse marketing data and use this as the basis for plans to support the organisation’s goals
- Good working knowledge of digital tools and how they can be used to support collaborative and effective working practices
- Good working knowledge of the education and learning eco system in the UK
Desired Knowledge and Experience:
- Background in digital / tech sales
- Knowledge of the tech sector / industry experience
Additional Information:
This is a full-time role and home based. You can be based anywhere in the UK, with occasional travel across the UK.
