Job Title: Panel Wire Operative
Location: Scarborough
Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum.
Job type: Full Time – Permanent.

The Role/Duties & Requirements:
You’ll be responsible for mechanical assembly and electrical wiring of standby power equipment in accordance with company working standards ensuring that products are manufactured in accordance with project specifications and company quality and safety standards.
Duties will include:
- Mechanical assembly of hardware, incorporating a wide range of fabrication and fitting skills.
- Electrical panel wiring of standby power and control systems and constituent sub-assemblies.
- Configure factored Commercial UPS products to meet project specifications.
- Maintain health of Commercial UPS stock by undertaking warehouse duties and battery refresh charging.
- Completion of manufacturing and quality documentation related to the assembly process.
- Achieve the expected levels of workmanship as defined within the company working standards.
- Complete projects within the specified “route” time and report variances affecting time booking.
- Apply rigorous health and safety practices at all times.
- Inspect materials prior to fitting, document and report defects through the company QA system.
- Contribute ideas to change product designs and system processes to improve efficiency, quality and safety.
- Carry out any other duties commensurate with the post, as deemed appropriate by the Production Manager.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience working in a similar panel wiring or electrical installation role.
- Electrical or mechanical engineering or installation qualifications are desirable.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexible approach to work duties and responsibilities to support the overall needs of the business.
