The Role
We currently have two exciting opportunities to join the team at our well-established independent nursery within the university of Chester at our Creative Campus in Kingsway.
If you’re an experienced Nursery Nurse who is passionate about continuous improvement and embraces a blended approach to child development, then this may be the right role for you!
The nursery provision caters to the all-round needs and development of children aged between 3 months to 5 years old, and our flat hierarchical structure enables nursery staff to work collaboratively and innovatively, creating and implementing engaging activities based on the children’s current interests and learning development.
The Ideal Candidate
- NVQ Level 3/CACHE diploma in Childcare
- Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Be committed to promoting and ensuring child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies.
- Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the Nursery, there may also be occasions where it is necessary for you to work additional hours to meet ratios.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage is essential.
Main Responsibilities
- You will utilise your knowledge and professional experience to observe, track and reflect on learning to see what works for the children, parents and nursery.
- Developing and maintaining strong parent/carer partnerships.
- encouraging confidence, exploration, good conduct and manners in all children.
- Working together to ensure the children develop the essential values, skills, knowledge, and attributes to become successful.
- Lead outside activities including den building, water play and walks around the campus, investigating the wildlife and playing on the sports field.
