The Role:
Responsible for the effective maintenance of the Knowles Transport fleet, planning work and organising shifts. Management of the team. Day to Day re-active and proactive maintenance of the Fleet taking direction from the Fleet manager at our March site.
Requirements:
Must haves:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced transport or logistics environment.
- Operator licensing awareness along with up to date knowledge of compliance such as gross weights, construction and use regulations, Working Time Directive and EU Drivers hours.
- Highly competent with PC literate – Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, Traffic management and warehouse management systems along with any other.
- IT/ web-based systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills along with excellent customer service skills
- Highly organised, self-sufficient and able to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines
- Be flexible in your approach to work and hours
- Excellent UK Graphical Knowledge
- Reliable in approach to work and adaptable to fit into different teams and environments
- Strong people management, leadership and interaction skills
- Proactive with the ability to make quick decisions and to communicate with others about any changes and impact as a result of the decisions made
- A highly organised self-starter
- Responsible for own actions and decisions
- Good memory
- Adaptable to change and a strong team player
- Professional in appearance and manner and punctual
- Must have own transport, full UK driving licence and ability to travel to work
KPIs:
Allocation of daily plan for all drivers.
Ensure all planned loads are updated in the systems with all relevant driver and vehicle details including all backhaul loads.
