A new opportunity has arisen within the Marketing team at School Property Matters as a Business Development Representative.
The role is based in our dedicated offices in Poulton-le-Fylde town centre. Opportunity to work occasional days from home is possible once trained.

School Property Matters operates nationally in a niche market with offices in Lancashire and Hertfordshire. Founded in 2002, the company has worked with over two thousand five hundred schools and is highly respected in its market for the honest and valued data and reports supplied.
SPM provides pupil capacity analysis services, CAD plans and condition surveys to schools. Helping to inform facilities management, admissions processes, and assist in negotiations for capital funds when schools are varying their size. All customers are schools and organisations managing schools.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the role is to expand the reach and customer base of SPM through outbound targeting.
Initially the job will involve some administrative tasks that will help build your knowledge of the company. You will need find and qualify leads to help build a pipeline of sales opportunities in the schools and education sector. You will be in charge of delivering sometimes technical messages in a palatable and digestible way.
The day-to-day roll will include:
- Using prospecting strategies to lead initial outreach to prospects
- Identify the needs and challenges of the prospective customer
- Schedule discovery meetings for sales representatives and prospects
- Respond to inbound leads via calls and web enquiries
- Supporting the wider team with telephone cover and marketing events etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent phone, writing, and listening skills
- A desire to learn, grow, and excel in their role
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management databases
- Cold calling / customer service experience
- Sales experience to the school sector a benefit but not essential
