Job Title: New Business Development Executive

Salary: £24,000 – £26,000 per annum basic with OTE of £31,000

About The Role
PETA have been established for over 50 years and have experienced continued success from our valued customer base. To support the achievement of our ambitious 5-year growth plan, we are looking for an experienced New Business Development Executive to join our team and promote our suite of high quality training products to new customers.
This full-time position will be based from our conference centre in Cosham. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 5pm.
Our Sales Team:
As a Business Development Executive, you will be joining our fast paced, high performing sales team. In your new role, you will be working alongside a team of Key Account Sales Managers and report into the Head of Sales. You will be provided with ongoing support and in-depth product training to help you hit the ground running.
What will I be responsible for?
Joining the team as a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for conducting rigorous outbound calling campaigns to engage with new customers. Your engagement with customers will primarily be over the phone so a passion for telesales will be key.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Conduct high-volume outbound calls to identify and engage potential new customers.
- Generate and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Accurately document all sales activities, interactions, and client information in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with the sales team to refine sales strategies and improve lead generation processes.
What will I need to succeed?
Ambition, drive and productivity are the key attributes we require for this role. Driving our new business strategy will be challenging but rewarding so tenacity will be key. As our ideal Business Development Executive, you will be able to demonstrate:
- A proven track record of over the phone new business generation
- Fantastic telephone manner
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Proficient with CRM systems and strong IT literacy
- Outstanding time management skills and organisational ability
