The role:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled developer to join our Projects team in a young dynamic company. Your primary responsibility will be to build and enhance systems that support our clients’ businesses.
You will be working within a team of developers taking direction from the Project Team Manager and Operations Director.
You will have the opportunity to use your C#/.NET experience to assist the team in achieving company objectives. Your trouble shooting skills and the ability to work independently on set tasks will make you a strong candidate for this position. This is a great opportunity to work with on a variety of existing systems as well as Greenfield projects with exposure to lots of new technologies, working practices and the ability to take a lead role on upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Build and design C#/.NET and JavaScript applications.
- Deliver solutions against written business requirements and technical specification documents as directed.
- Investigate, analyse and document reported defects.
- Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
- Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses.
- Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates.
- Integrate a series of third-party APIs.
This will be monitored by
- Successful delivery of work within agreed timescales.
- Accurate delivery of agreed work.
- All development work clearly documented.
- Unit Tests clearly documented and executable.
- Demonstrate ability to pick up new skills and techniques.
Essential
- At least 2 years commercial development.
- NET or .NET core with MVC and WebAPI knowledge.
- Database SQL programming (Microsoft SQL).
- Strong C# and object-oriented programming skills.
- Core Javascript skills.
- Experience with Single Page Apps.
- Be a good Communicator and have good Interpersonal skills.
- Have good Analytical Skills.
Desirable
- Blazor and/or Xamarin Mobile experience.
- HTML / XHTML / CSS / LESS / SASS.
- Query / XML /XSLT.
- Gang of Four Design patterns.
- Build tools (Nant, Gulp, Grunt, Npm).
- Experience using Unit Testing and Mocking frameworks
- Previous experience with Restful APIs, Web services.
