Job Title: Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: PQ Silicas – Warrington Site
Salary: Base salary £46,293.00, an additional £6,660.00 once fully integrated on the cover rota with a potential to rise to £57,582.00

The role:
To maintain site plant and infrastructure through effective preventative and reactive maintenance to achieve a safe working environment & optimal equipment technical availability whilst working within the agreed policies, standards and guidelines
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Equipment Efficiencies
- Carry out planned EC&I and Mechanical maintenance tasks to ensure plant machinery is running effectively and safely. Ensure scheduled inspections are completed thoroughly and efficiently.
- Anticipate failures on plant machinery and highlight with recommendations to prevent failure to engineering planner and report using SAPPM notifications.
- Carry out both EC&I and Mechanical reactive diagnostics / rectification on complex systems when required to ensure plant is promptly returned to standard so availability is maximised
2. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with PQ safety policies.
- Ensure ALL intrusive work has a Risk Assessment and Permit when required in line with PQ policy.
- Assist Asset Engineers with the creation of new or modification of work instructions.
- Report any unsafe actions of contractors to Team Leader and ensure awareness of contractor policies.
3. Continuous Improvement
- Support operational improvement by generating improvement ideas.
- Engage in required meetings with active participation and accurate feedback.
- Support problem solving initiatives to ensure all major breakdowns are root caused and permanent correct actions are taken as well as short term intermediate actions where required.
- Support plant CI initiatives by actively participating in workshops when requested and delivering actions in an agreed time.
- Continually review work content of maintenance routines to maximise effectiveness by suggesting improvements.

Knowledge Skills and Experience Required
- Time served multi skilled engineer (60/40 EC&I bias) ideally with qualification in a Technical discipline or suitable knowledge through experience.
- Flexible in terms of break times to suit the needs of the business.
- Able to manage own time.
- Willing to develop skills when given the opportunity to do so.
- Strong communication skills.
- PC Literate with skills in MS Office
- Adopt a “can do / will do my best” attitude
- Flexible to carry out any task as requested within their capability (training, competence)
- Data driven & Result focused.
- Proactive mind-set and good planning skills.
- Experience of working in a highly regulated continuous process environment.
- Proficient in use of SAPPM system and other computer operated systems.
- Clear demonstration of the PQ Values on a habitual basis.
