The role
We are looking for a Multimedia and Social Media Manager to develop our multimedia and social media brand to support marketing campaign objectives and increase the impact and reach of our communications.
This role will give the right candidate the opportunity to build a comprehensive in-house resource for all social media, branded assets design, video, podcast, and photography requirements in support of building the company brand and engaging online communities through storytelling.
Purpose
The Multimedia and Social Media Manager will build a multimedia and social media brand to inspire our audiences to engage with and support our work. In support of the brand they will produce engaging and informative audio-visual content including videos, podcasts, animations, graphics, and design, collaborating closely with colleagues to create this content.
They will drive collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the business to consult, develop and implement an on-brand multi-media content strategy and calendar; ensuring all is delivered on time and within budget.
The Multimedia and Social Media Manager is a new role that will report into our Head of Brand and Campaigns.
Key Duties:
- Establish a multimedia, branded assets and online engagement strategy.
- Build on our existing visual identity to ensure consistency in look and feel across all multimedia content and social media channels.
- Ensure our brand guidelines are adhered to across the organisation. This will include developing templates to streamline processes for the wider business.
- Provide graphic design support for reports, social media assets, digital assets, video, and Microsoft Office templates (PowerPoint and Word).
- Design and edit animations to enhance video content, digital assets, and infographics.
- Film and edit high quality videos.
- Record, edit, and mix podcasts.
- Take photos and edit for social media channels.
- Embed multimedia content on our websites and social media channels.
- Curate and develop our video and podcast channels to promote content and drive growth.
- Support teams with the development of branded content relevant to specific audiences.
- Ensure appropriate content is produced for our social channels.
- Develop our channels to harness new functionality relevant to our business and audiences.
- Identify new technologies and platforms that could benefit techUK.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders on the development of multimedia content, social media and community activity.
- Train and support the team on social media, brand guidelines and multimedia best practice.
- Build advocates within our communities.
- Monitor the techUK social accounts to ensure tone of voice and brand are being used effectively.
- Ensure that use of our community channels adhere to GDPR.

Person Specification:
Essential Knowledge and Experience
- Recent experience within a video and design focused role.
- Experience and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud software, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Experience managing Twitter and LinkedIn channels for organisations.
- Use of social media scheduling tools including reporting, metrics and conversion rates.
- Experience creating branded assets for presentations (PowerPoint), brochure collateral (PDFs) and events (banners/skins etc).
- Creating and delivering content management plans and managing a brand identity across multiple channels.
Desired Knowledge and Experience
- Experience with Adobe Audition (for podcast recording) and hootsuite.
- YouTube Data Studio analytics experience to provide regular reporting and data-driven. analytics for ongoing improvements.
- Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) /CMS systems (Microsoft Dynamics would be an advantage).
- Knowledge of live streaming video content across the web and virtual platforms.
- Photography and image editing experience.
