Job Title: Multi Skilled Painter & Decorator

Summary of Role:
To carry out painting and decorating works as well as other, associated multi-trades within
domestic and commercial properties. This will involve working with all types of decorations
that may be found in such properties. Ordinarily, works will be related to insured building
repairs and be located at properties within an approximate 50-mile radius of Stevenage,
Hertfordshire.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plastering and repairing walls and ceilings
- Painting and decorating
- Tiling
- Basic plumbing
- Basic Joinery
- Carry out work to high standards
- Complete schedule of works issued in agreed time-frame
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Take responsibility for identifying variations in work against schedule
Person Specification
Essential Skills:
- Ability to prepare as necessary walls, ceilings and timberwork and paint / decorate to
- an excellent standard of finish
- Ability to carry out other related trades including general plaster repairs, basic
- plumbing and demolition
- Physically fit
- Numerate and literate
- Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers
- Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
- Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety
- Good oral communication and people skills
- Strong time management skills and efficient in planning and organising works.

Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- At least 3 years’ experience working as a multi-skilled operative
- Provide full references and provide proof of your right to work in the UK
- Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and
- other specifications
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company
- specific safety orientation
- Full, clean driving license
Desirable
- Recognised qualifications in a relevant discipline would be desirable.

Company Benefits
All full-time Employees (excluding Directors) – based in the UK have a standard entitlement
of 20 days paid holiday per year (April 1st – March 31st). The 8 UK Bank and Public holidays
are in addition to the standard holiday entitlement. There is a pension scheme following a
qualifying period.
