Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician

Clock Garage is a family run business that has been established for over 40 years.
We are looking to recruit two Vehicle Technicians.
There will be a more junior role that would be more servicing and general Maintenance work such as brakes and replacement of suspension components etc.
Then a role requiring a more experienced technician preferably with some diagnostic and electrical experience (as below)
The Role:
The successful applicants will work on a variety of makes and undertake all aspects of motor vehicle repairs and servicing. Additional training will be provided so applicants will be able to further their skill base and knowledge. Although a portion of the vehicles entering the workshop are Renault/Dacia, we do undertake work on all makes of vehicles (including sales vehicles) so there would be a fair amount of servicing and repairs of non-Renaults. The workload is varied so lots of chance to improve your skills and it keeps it interesting rather than doing the same thing day in day out
We have a fully equipped workshop which utilises the relevant special tooling, latest diagnostic equipment and best practices. You would be part of a small aftersales team and work in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment.
Key Duties:
- Undertake the timely repair and servicing of customer vehicles and sales vehicles.
- Conduct full examinations of vehicles and identify defects, or additional faults either in the workshop or during road tests.
- Undertake Vehicle Health Checks
- Undertake vehicle road testing for diagnosis and to test repairs.
- Work closely with the service team and ensuring they are kept informed of the progress of work on customer vehicles and they are fully briefed on work completed. Discuss technical issues/works with directly customers when requested.
- Obtain appropriate authorisation if additional work is required on a vehicle.
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and diagnostics would be preferable, but additional training in these areas can be provided.
The Package:
- Competitive Salary £27,000 – £35,000 Per annum (depending upon experience) Plus opportunity of bonus on achievement of target
- Working hours Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:15 (no weekend working required)
- Ongoing training can be provided so there will be opportunities for candidates to further their skill level with commensurate pay increases.
