The Main Purpose of the Role:
To be an integral part of the Operations team and support across all sites. To deliver fully comprehensive training on MHE, equipment and operational processes through behavioural and procedural delivery.
To drive the Knowles Health & Safety culture by working cohesively with the Health & Safety team.
Assist with the on boarding of new members of staff as part of the induction process.
Own the ongoing training schedule for all company MHE users and report progress in the form of a monthly KPI.
Oversee the racking inspection schedule and work alongside the Operations Mangers to highlight any actions required.
Requirements:
- RTITB qualified trainer.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Experience of delivering training in a warehouse environment.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong team player with excellent organisational & prioritisation skills.
- Sema racking inspection experience.
Key Accountabilities:
Equipment Training & Assessments:
- Deliver training or competence assessments on MHE including Counterbalance, Pivot, PPT, Pump trucks, Double Handler attachment, Rotate attachment, Slip Sheet attachment.
- Deliver all new starter training on the operation of other operational equipment.
- Schedule, plan & execute refresher training to meet minimum company or legal requirement.
- Complete & record ad-hoc observations on the operation of MHE and operational equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
Continuous Improvement:
- Assist with the development of process flows, SOP’s, SSOW’s and all relevant documentation.
- Deliver workplace & classroom training required as a result of any process changes or new process implementation.
- Attend workshops and meetings where required to discuss processes and opportunities.
- Support the C.I Manager and Operational Management team as required.
Health & Safety:
- Complete SEMA racking inspections and report findings & recommendations as required.
- Work with the site management team to meet and maintain BRC standards.
- Attend relevant H&S meetings where required.
- Post incident or accident assessment & retraining.
Advise of any changes to legislation which impact training / MHE / site processes.
People:
- Support new starters and continue to offer guidance with coaching or further training as required.
- Build cohesive relationships with all members of operational management and positively communicate the progress and achievements of their teams.
KPI’s, Reports & Documentation:
- Ensure all documentation for MHE and equipment training is valid, appropriate and stored. correctly to site, BRC and GDPR standards.
- Create, update & maintain training schedules for all MHE and Operational equipment.
- Publish KPI’s and updates on training schedules, operator performance and compliance to the Knowles Management team as agreed with the C.I manager.
