The Role:
University College Birmingham is looking for a Media, PR and Communications Officer.
It is an incredibly exciting time to be joining University College Birmingham, with a new partnership in place with the University of Warwick. In addition, the University has recently won University of the Year in the 2022 Whatuni Student Choice Awards, the leading higher education awards based solely on student choice. We have recently welcomed our first cohort of further education students in construction and engineering this September, with more exciting curriculum plans for the future.
The Media, PR and Communications Officer is a new role, and will support in the development of the University’s Media, PR and Communications strategy, leading on delivery of key activities to enhance the University’s reputation and actively manage our external brand.
The successful candidate will act as the hub for all media communications, responding to media enquiries, liaising with colleagues internally and externally to tell our story.
The role requires experience of working in a media/public relations role, delivering media projects and strategic communications, and working in an energetic environment. The post holder will be an excellent communicator in all mediums, with the ability to motivate and support others to deliver.
