Kerr’s Tyres & Auto are now recruiting for a trained Mechanic to join our growing team in Northern Ireland.
The Mechanic is responsible for the full maintenance and repairs of vehicles.
Key Tasks Required:
- Ability to identify faults and repair components & fit new and manufactured parts
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Undertaking full inspection before hand-over to customer
- Recording all relevant details, completing records etc
- Understanding of diagnostics and fault finding
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Maintaining a clean and neat work space and adhering to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
- Experience in Tyre fitting an advantage
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
- Must be fully qualified mechanic or 2 years working experience
- Full Current Driving Licence essential
- Mechanics tool kit
- Experience in both Diagnostics and Fault Finding

- Identify any issues with equipment and vehicles and report to the Centre Manager at the earliest opportunity
- Maintain the cleanliness of the Centre, workshop, reception and Company vehicles
- Mechanical and visual check of Company vehicles
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, appearance and uniform
- Develop technical knowledge by attending training when required
- Participate and engage in Centre team meetings
- Understand and adhere to Company policies and procedures to ensure a safe, secure and legal work environment
- Adhere to all rules and regulations including Health and Safety obligations, requirements and the reporting of accidents
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as shall from time to time be required by the Company, Centre Manager or Assistant Manager within the competency of the role and post holder
