The company is looking for a Marketing Manager to support their continued growth and development as an agency.
It’s a role that sits at the heart of the business. You’ll be marketing the agency itself; supporting the growth of the brand and helping us engage with exciting new prospect brands. It offers the hands-on experience of marketing a business, alongside working in a fast-paced agency environment full of digital specialists.
You’ll be joining a friendly and dedicated sales and marketing team. Their focus is on attracting prospects that align with agency values and that they can do great work with. It’s an ambitious team and they’re always in pursuit of better marketing and building the brand. You will be joining at an exciting time for the agency. In the last 12-months they’ve won no less than 23 high-profile awards from industry bodies including the Data and Marketing Association (DMA), Digiday and Campaign. About the role:
Marketing an agency is full of variety.
- You’ll work across the broad spectrum of marketing channels from offline activity such as events to working with in-house specialists on digital channels like PPC.
- You’ll also have the opportunity to work with and develop third-party supplier relationships. As the voice of the agency, internally and externally, accuracy and tone are key to the role. You’ll be responsible for showcasing the expertise, great work, and exciting stories from inside the agency to their core audiences.
- You’ll be contributing ideas to and supporting the delivery of their marketing plan. While working with the Head of Marketing and the wider commercial team, you’ll also take ownership over certain channels. This includes managing social media, delivering consistent, relevant and creative posts; working closely with the in-house design team. You’ll also manage the media library assets and support the upkeep and improvement of the website.
- You’ll also support on the creation and delivery of campaign activity. For instance, they recently ran a Google Ad Grants campaign targeted towards the most popular charities in the UK. This ran across a variety of channels including social (paid and organic), PR, awards, PPC and display.
By proactively involving yourself in the various teams across the agency, you’ll find and collate success stories representing the agency’s work and expertise. Managing the process end-to-end, you’ll plan how best to share them externally, whether that’s via the website, social, awards or at events.
About you:
- They’re looking for someone who has a genuine passion for marketing and demonstrable knowledge of digital channels.
- You’ll understand B2B marketing communication and appreciate how to apply brand values and tone of voice to messaging in order to generate measurable success.
- For this role, you’ll need at least 18-months experience within a fast-paced digital or similar environment, supporting an agency or brand. With the variety of the role, you will excel if you have a thirst for learning new channels and want to broaden your marketing experience.
- You’ll need to be a competent writer who can cover elements across digital marketing from website development to organic search.
- Being proactive, you’ll be confident speaking to a wide variety of stakeholders to gather the insight required to drive brilliant content creation.
- Having commercial awareness is important for delivering more impactful campaigns and demonstrating the value that marketing is delivering to the agency.

The Office:
Although everyone is currently working from home due to the current circumstances the office is located in Ipswich, a short walk from the station and easily commutable from the surrounding area and beyond, including Cambridge and London. They’ve recently relocated to a large modern office that has been completely refitted to their specification, to ensure it has the perfect working, meeting and recreation space… and they are very proud of it!
