Job Title: Marketing Executive

Location: Office based in Oxford but hybrid/remote working available

Global Water Intelligence (GWI) is looking for a Marketing Executive to specialise in marketing our range of publishing products, events, and digital offerings, with a particular focus on growing and nurturing our subscriber, attendee, and membership bases globally.

Global Water Intelligence (GWI) is the world’s leading intelligence service on the global water industry. With offices in Oxford, Austin (Texas), and Shanghai (China), we publish marketing leading magazines, databases, and reports on the international water industry. We also run a series of successful events.

The Role

As a Marketing Executive at GWI, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to creative and strategic projects which will play an active role in fueling the growth and success of a global brand and our range of market data and intelligence products.

Our marketing strategy is shaped by the wealth of research we produce, proactively capitalising on market trends, and conveying value propositions and narratives in a professional yet accessible form. This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong and developing team at a time when the business is growing and expanding as the market leader for data, intelligence, and networking in the water industry.

You will collaborate with the wider marketing team, sales, events, and research teams to promote our products, events, and services and grow GWI’s presence within the global water sector. Campaigns, projects, and initiatives can range from product or event launches and update-focused email campaigns to social media infographics and promotional videos.

You will develop a detailed understanding of our offerings and their place within the global water sector. The successful candidate will contribute and lead on the development, production, and maintenance of promotional brochures, marketing assets, and sales support materials.

We are looking for a creative and keen individual who is excited by the prospect of growing digital audiences, launching new products, and contributing to a more informed and productive water industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and executing marketing campaigns, projects, and lead generation initiatives through email, social media and other digital channels
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of our existing subscriber, attendee and member bases, target audiences and markets, and the wider water industry
  • Collaboratively developing marketing strategies and value propositions for launches and updates
  • Developing our brand voice and ensuring marketing output aligns with our brand and product portfolio
  • Communicating developments and updates internally to our commercial teams (marketing and sales)
  • Developing, producing, and maintaining promotional marketing material

Experience:

We are happy to consider bright graduates or candidates with experience in a similar role. If you enjoy learning about complex topics, have a can-do attitude and are motivated by achieving collective goals then we would love to hear from you. Previous marketing experience is not essential, but if you do have a marketing background, marketers from B2B market intelligence, events or publishing firms, or graduates with a science or technology background are preferred.

Benefits:

GWI employees are enrolled on a company pension plan and receive a holiday allowance of 25 days per year (pro rata). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to attend relevant training courses and conferences to develop within the role.
