What you’ll be doing:
This role will also be responsible for supporting the marketing department with planning, campaigns, events and a wide range of activities to drive awareness and interest in the brand and boost sales from the Financial Adviser community.
This role requires a candidate who is keen to work under pressure, they must be flexible and adaptable to change. The role will be extremely varied, from managing literature requests from our sales team, to helping manage internal and external events and supporting the development of all marketing collateral and campaigns.
This role requires someone who is a keen planner and strives for delivering content within set deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update marketing delivery plan, supporting the marketing team deliver content to deadlines
- Event logistics support for Strategic Partner and industry events
- Draft regular internal communications approach, including managing company intranet content
- Own regular marketing updates to field and telephone sales team
- Support our operations team with on brand customer servicing communications
- Take ownership of adhoc marketing requests from all areas of the business. Being agile to the changing and demanding needs of a start-up business
- Support of day-to-day tasks of the Marketing Department, including but not limited to, creating/proof reading content, social media posts, blog articles, emails, brochures, press releases, updating both online and offline marketing literature, liaising with Regional Account Managers to help coordinate regional marketing events and seminars
Key Accountabilities:
People
- Work with and support the Head of Marketing and wider marketing team on a daily basis
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Work with Marketing Agency to ensure all communications meet with our strategy and company objectives
- Work with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver on brand and approved content to meet their requirements
Brand and Marketing
- The Guardian Brand – making sure all communications are approved and follow brand and language guidelines
- Briefing and creating marketing collateral for sales team and advisers
- Exploit opportunities to raise brand awareness and communicate proposition USPs
Sales
- Work with sales team to identify new marketing opportunities
- Creating and ongoing maintenance of sales support materials
- Sharing regular marketing updates with our field and telephone sales team
Planning
- Manage marketing delivery plan
- Plan ongoing updates of all online and offline marketing collateral
- Produce MI reports to show success and learns from marketing activities
- Feed into general marketing campaign plans
Continual improvement
- Keeping up to date with the protection market and our competitor product changes and campaigns
- Always looking for new opportunities, so that we can create a learning organisation, in line with agreed process
About you:
Ideally, you’ll have the following experience in:
- Business to business marketing
- Marketing planning
- Understanding of the financial services market
To support this experience, you’ll have the following special skills:
- Understanding of social media
- Ability to generate new ideas and execute them from start to end
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability, desire and confidence to, network with, negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organisation and planning skills
- Self-motivation and enthusiasm
- Competent using Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel
