Job type: Monday to Thursday – 8.00am to 5.00pm, Friday – 8.00am to 4.00pm Full-time, Permanent

ITL Vacuum is a UK based business, manufacturing, sourcing and supplying Standard and Non-Standard Vacuum components, fittings and vessels. Our products serve a wide range of industries including Semi-Conductor, Research, Energy, Medical and Industrial vacuum users.
The role:
Are you a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Manager ready to lead a high-performing team in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment?
As the Manufacturing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient, effective, and budget-conscious operation of our manufacturing activities.
You will lead a dedicated team responsible for delivering outstanding results across key performance areas, including Labor V’s Output (LVO), On-time delivery (OTD), Quality, LEAN practices, staff development, and Health and Safety.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Output: Maintaining overall responsibility for the company’s manufacturing output plan.
- Capacity Planning: Managing capacity to optimize staff scheduling, including overtime and shift patterns.
- Performance Reporting: Providing regular reports on productivity, OTD, continual improvement, and quality KPI’s.
- LEAN Practices: Analysing and implementing lean production improvements, efficiencies, and best practices to enhance OTD, shorten lead times, and improve quality performance.
- Corrective Actions: Completing all corrective actions relevant to your areas of responsibility.
- Maintenance: Co-ordinating with the maintenance team n equipment breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and improvement projects.
- Team Management: Maximizing team output efficiencies through training support, mentoring, and empowerment to develop ownership qualities.
- Health & Safety: Monitoring the entire team and operations to ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards.
The Ideal Candidate:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent time-served experience.
- A proven track record (5+ years) of meeting aggressive monthly output targets.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing/Lean Six Sigma practices (advantageous).
- Expertise in engineering, operations, and process implementation.
- Proficiency in planning and organization to effectively run and monitor the production process.
- Knowledge and experience with ERP/MRP systems
- An eye for detail and a commitment to a “right first time” mentality and high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with all levels of the business.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and inspire others.
