The company is a market leader in first class slitting and rewinding machinery based in Ipswich, Suffolk. As a family owned company, they’ve been producing and supplying slitting machines and converting machinery to the global film, paper and allied web industries for over 30 years.
The Role
They require experienced or semi-experienced Milling Machinists and Lathe Machinists to join their busy and expanding Machine Shop. The successful applicants will be expected to be self motivated, be able to read and understand engineering drawings and should have a level of machining experience using manual Lathes and Milling Machines.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a successful machine service environment is required.
The Candidate:
- Coming from an electrical or mechanical engineering discipline
- Will have a thorough knowledge of engineering drawings
- A strong knowledge of using manual Lathes and Milling Machines or be willing to learn machining components out of mild steel and aluminium to engineering drawings
- Full comprehensive training will be given to any trainee/apprentice. This is an ideal opportunity for someone to learn and gain a professional trade.
- The candidate will be capable of mechanical engineering
