We are currently looking for a Management Accounts Team Leader to join our dynamic and supportive Finance Team, on a permanent contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the work of the Management Accounts Team and assisting the Financial Reporting Manager. You will have the ability to take the lead and explain solutions to others, demonstrate innovation to drive improvement throughout the team, and be passionate about protecting our vulnerable clients. The post holder will follow all legislative and statutory guidance in line with the recommendations of Companies House, the Charity Commission, Financial Reporting Standards, and all other required standards.
You will have a high level of motivation, resilience, and emotional intelligence and have demonstrable experience of flexibility with a willingness to embrace new ways of working.

As the Management Accounts Team Leader your duties would include:
- Ensure all postings are accurate, working closely with the Finance Team Leader to implement this
- Oversee Assistant Management Accountant duties, train and develop as required
- Ensure Migrant Help policies and operating procedures are followed to meet monthly reporting deadlines are met
- Assist with driving continuous development and efficiencies within the management accounts team, supporting with the communication and implementation of new initiative
- Maintain a functional chart of accounts which meets requirement for senior management team reporting, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed
- Ensure monthly reconciliations are performed accurately and timely, offering support where appropriate
- Support both internal and external shareholder with queries that arise, offering a high level of service and effective communication
- Liaise with the finance team leader to ensure the appropriate payroll information is accurately submitted to complete the monthly salary payments in a timely manner
- Develop control systems to meet the requirements of MH, and ensure that effective communication and training is provided on implementation
- Work closely with the transactional team to ensure the information they are producing is timely and accurate
The experience and skills you need:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance reporting role
- Experience with general Finance Software
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across all levels of an organisation
- An understanding and observance of impartiality and confidentiality
- Experience of working to tight timescales and consistently meeting deadlines
