Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: St Neots
Salary: Negotiable
Job type: Full Time – Permanent. Hours of work: 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday (39.50hrs per week)
We are looking for a reliable Management Accountant to assist the Financial Controller in providing key financial data to the Board to aid critical business decisions that will ensure business growth and long-term success.
The Role:
- Responsible for timely month end close
- Preparing monthly management accounts pack for several legal entities for review by FD
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Reconcile and produce Accounts analysis
- Perform variance and trend analysis
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns
- Training and coaching of members of finance team
- Collaborate with the FD on process improvement and reporting
- Prepare schedules for annual audit
- Coordinate with external auditors
- Produce all required information requested by auditors (in collaboration with wider team)
Skills Required:
- CIMA or ACA qualified with post qualification experience
- Audit experience
- Experience of producing management and financial accounts to audit standard
- Experience of Groups and high volumes of intercompany transactions
- Significant experience of undertaking or supervising finance processing activities
- Advanced IT skills (especially Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to communicate at all levels
- Meticulous, proactive and enthusiastic, with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
