Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Fife,Scotland
Salary: Up to £43,000 – D.O.E
Job type: 35 hours Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm and Friday 08:30am – 1:30pm.

The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Team as a Management Accountant.
Main Responsibilities Include:
- To contribute to the overall business in the creation and delivery of Strategy, Policies and Objectives, Forecasting and Operating Plans.
- To contribute and stimulate the definition and set up of internal procedures and following internal audit.
- To provide timely and accurate monthly management accounts, by the 7th working day of each month, within Farid Hillend Engineering Limited, associated companies and relevant external parties and to the Group.
- Analysing business performance and providing explanations to variances to budget, forecast and prior year.
- Ensure the continuous delivery of internal management information that is focused on information that devolves to the lowest reasonable level of responsibility for the management of cost centres and the creation of timely and accurate forecasting.
- Manage and lead the annual budgeting process, working and supporting Managers and Directors. To deliver the annual budget plan and the quarterly forecasts. Then review monthly to ensure each department is keeping in line their budgetary requirements.
- Support the financial auditing of the business.
- Support The Accounting Manager and Finance team in keeping clear and reconciled ledgers and books.
- Proactively identifying and improving finance and business processes to ensure fast and accurate management information is available.
- Manage product costing and cost accounting, ensuring the effectiveness of standard costs and rates, analysing and explaining variances monthly.
- Manage standard cost updating process and variances set up and analysis
- Manage stock costing and provisions (slow moving, obsolete …)
- Ensure the continuous development and improvement in timeous, robust, and efficient controlling systems and procedures in line with Group procedures. Support Group IT Department in the management of the ERP system set up, reporting and training.
- Develop strong relationships and networks with local and Group colleagues.
- Any other duties as and when required.

Experience:
- Previous management accounts experience (within the manufacturing sector would be an advantage)
- Previous experience working with ERP Systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX, Dynamics 365 desirable but not essential)
Knowledge & Education:
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft package including MS Excel with knowledge of VLOOKUP’s and Pivot tables.
- You will be a fully qualified accountant i.e. (CIMA/ACCA/CA) or soon to be within the next year.
