Job Title: Maintenance Operative – Labourer
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £17,711 – £18,426 per annum
Job type: Full Time, Permanent (37 hours per week)

The Role:
The Council’s Property Services & Facilities Management Section is looking for a semi-skilled labourer to join the In-House Maintenance Team who carry out repairs and maintenance to the Council’s social housing and public buildings.
The work is varied as well as rewarding and will include providing assistance for colleagues as well as completing semi-skilled work independently
Main Purpose:
To undertake labouring duties as part of the development team
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out maintenance and repair work as per works order specification
- Providing labour and support for tradesmen
- Carry out reasonable allied duties as and when required
- Comply with requirements relating to vehicle use & maintenance
Key Requirements:
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate that they are physically strong and fit and have an awareness of health and safety in a construction environment. Applicants will need to have the highest levels of customer care and have a cheerful and positive disposition.
A full driving licence is required.
The following is desirable but not essential:
- CSCS – Health & Safety
- Experience of working in a Social Housing environment
- Varied experience across building trades
