Job Title: Machine Setter / Operator (Production) & Team Leader

We are Prism eLogistics (UK) Ltd a business based in Basingstoke Hampshire, providing storage, fulfilment, pick & pack, ecommerce, secondary contract packing and distribution services.
We are part of the Spearpoint Security Group a Singapore based investment group, who are providing major investment for us to expand in the world of ecommerce.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced, motivated Team Leader & Machine Setter to work on our fully automated sleeving line to report direct to the Production Supervisor of sleeving.
Your Responsibilities:
You need to have excellent communication skills to liaise with team members, the internal client services team, and operational staff to ensure that all parties are fully aware of the work required of them. With excellent Excel and IT skills, along with the ability to work on your own initiative, you will be a key player in ensuring that the team is working efficiently and that the automated sleeving line has been set correctly and running consistently during the day, ensuring that optimum levels are maintained at all times.

The right candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities, such as:
- Setting up machines and configure in accordance with a specific job requirement, which involves adjusting components and machine parameters. Diligent setup ensures machines run efficiently and produce high-quality products
- Operating machines during production runs, closely monitoring them to maintain efficiency and quality. They promptly resolve any issues to help meet production targets
- Performing regular maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating and replacing worn parts. This helps keep the Sleeving Line running smoothly and minimises downtime due to malfunctions.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving when the Sleeving Line malfunction or product quality is substandard. This skill is vital for maintaining productivity and ensuring products meet required specifications
- Adherence to safety protocols, which includes wearing appropriate PPE and following procedures for handling hazardous materials. This promotes a safe working environment for you and your colleagues
- Quality control checks, measuring, testing and visually inspecting parts or products to ensure they meet required specifications. This helps to maintain high-quality standards in the production process
- Keeping accurate documentation of settings, production runs, maintenance tasks and any issues encountered during production. Thorough records help track performance, identify areas for improvement and ensure regulatory compliance

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience within a production environment setting up machinery
- A solid understanding of setting up machinery
