Job Title: Logistics Supervisor / Coordinator
Location: Eynsham, West Oxfordshire
Salary: Circa £28,000 per annum depending on skills and experience, plus discretionary bonus and overtime opportunities
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (Monday to Friday)
Simon Hegele provide specialist logistics support to leading manufacturers within the medical industry. We are a well-established company prioritising quality and professionalism. Having recently moved into a brand new purpose build logistics facility we have exciting expansion plans. You will be joining an excellent team promoting a safe and supportive working environment.
About the role:
In this hands on position you will supervise an established team of operatives to receive goods and deliver them to the production line at our client site in Eynsham. You will be working with high value medical components and equipment in an environment where safety and quality are our top priority. The role is process driven and involves both manual handling and use of MHE. Professional conduct and an ability to communicate well with colleagues and customers is essential.
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with Operations Manager to ensure smooth running of the Logistics Operation on our client site
- Train operatives and monitor performance and progress
- Safely load and unload vehicles and deliver materials to production line
- Ensure processes are closely followed and quality management processes are up to date
Key Requirements:
- Ability to travel to our client site in Eynsham, West Oxfordshire (accessible via public transport)
- A good command of the English language
- Experience of supervisory or team leader responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable:
- Driving licence would be beneficial but is not essential
