Job Title: Logistics & Installation Support HGV Driver
Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire
Salary: £27,000 – £40,000 per annum depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
The Role:
This is a hugely varied role providing you with the opportunity to develop skills in both the logistics and installations side of our business. This role would suit a practically minded individual with an eye for detail and quality who gains job satisfaction from working as part of a team to deliver an outstanding service.
When assisting with onsite installations, you can expect to be away from home 1-2 nights. Work is predominately scheduled in the UK and very occasionally Ireland and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving and operating HGV vehicles
- Booking in, picking and packing items, ensuring KPIs are met
- Safe and secure loading and unloading of vehicles for installation
- Assisting with on site installation of systems
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and welfare
This could be an ideal opportunity for an experienced driver looking to expand their skills. Full training will be given due to the specialist nature of the role.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Class 1 or class 2 driving licence
- Up to date CPC and digital tachograph card
- Background or interest in mechanical engineering
- Basic IT skills
- A keen interest in learning new skills
- Clear understanding of Health and Safety and safe methods of working
