About the role:
We are looking to recruit three new staff to join our hard working and dedicated team in our monitoring and response centre based in Lincoln.
We provide a range of services to vulnerable people 24 hours a day 7 days a week through our Monitoring and Response Centre. Our operators provide assistance to people and help them to live safely and independently in their own homes for longer. Our centre also provides a range of call handling services to other organisations ensuring a varied and challenging role.
These vacancies have arisen based at City Hall, Lincoln, you would be required to work in a team of operators providing a monitoring service for the elderly or vulnerable and a referral service for dealing with out of hours Council emergencies (such as emergency repairs to Council properties) as well as calls being made on our dedicated response and resettlement telephone line.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work under the general direction of the Supported Housing Manager
- To assist People living in Lincolnshire to maintain their independence through the promotion of dispersed alarm equipment.
- To refer individuals to other statutory and non-statutory services as appropriate e.g. Adult Social Care, Wellbeing Services, Age UK.
- To promote the Lincare Services as and when required.
- To Install and maintain the full range of telecare devices including Key Safes and to ensure that each customer has an annual visit to check their equipment is operational and that the data held at the control centre is up to date.
Additional Information:
The hours can be worked flexibly Monday – Friday but we would need someone who can work Friday afternoons as a minimum to deal with any equipment failures prior to the weekend.
About you:
Successful applicants will have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, IT skills, provide excellent customer service and be able to handle calls from service users in a calm and supportive manner. You will receive an induction training programme when you join us and on-going training to support your development.
The successful candidates will:
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and managers
- Have experience of developing working partnerships directly with members of the public and statutory agencies
- Have the ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Have 3 GCSEs, or equivalent, including English
- Hold a current driving licence
- Have knowledge of the work of Technology Enabled Care industry
- Have the ability to use Microsoft Office to ECDL standard or equivalent experience to generate information e.g. reports, statistics.
- Have experience of working with older persons
- Have knowledge of the range of TEC available and ability to programme and install in accordance with manufacturers guidelines.
