The Role
You will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance, inspection and repair of our growing HGV fleet, joining a successful and well-established company and working alongside our team of mechanics.
You will have:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience or qualification in motor mechanics such as City & Guilds Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or a BTEC National Certificate in Vehicle Repair and Technology
- Excellent knowledge about motor technology and a strong background in HGV vehicle servicing
- Good communication skills, ability to concentrate when under pressure
- Good manual dexterity, methodical and organised and able to work to strict deadlines
- Be able to work alone and follow instructions
- Must have own transport and full UK driving licence
Performing the following tasks:
- Inspect vehicles to MOT standard
- Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
- Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises
- Complete all paperwork as necessary
- Ensure all aspects of H&S working practices are adhered to
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
