The Main Purpose of the Role:
You will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance, inspection and repair of our growing HGV fleet, joining a successful and well-established company and working alongside our team of mechanics.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience or qualification in motor mechanics such as City & Guilds Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or a BTEC National Certificate in Vehicle Repair and Technology.
- Excellent knowledge about motor technology and a strong background in HGV vehicle servicing.
- Good communication skills, ability to concentrate when under pressure.
- Good manual dexterity, methodical and organised and able to work to strict deadlines.
- Be able to work alone and follow instructions.
- Must have own transport and full UK driving licence.
Performing the following tasks:
- Inspect vehicles to MOT standard.
- Diagnose and rectify all types of faults.
- Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises.
- Complete all paperwork as necessary.
- Ensure all aspects of H&S working practices are adhered to.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
