Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Silverstone, Northamptonshire
Salary: £21,685 per annum. This is the actual salary you will receive as you will be paid all year round including the school holidays

On Track Education Silverstone is a 40 place, independent special school for pupils aged 11 to 19 who have a range of social, emotional and mental health difficulties. We support pupils to fulfil their potential by giving them unconditional support, providing them with good quality teaching and empowering them to effectively manage their own behaviour.
Main Purpose:
- Provide support and supervision for pupils, to encourage their engagement in the learning process and work towards agreed aims and objectives.
- Work as part of a team contributing towards meeting the academic, social, behavioural and emotional needs of young people
Personal Attributes:
- Experience of working with children and young people
- An interest in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning
- An ability to effectively and positively manage challenging behaviour
- Professional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Good general standard of education (GCSE Grade C or 4 or equivalent in English and Maths) and IT proficiency
