Learning Resource:
In the Learning Resource role you will support the successful delivery of the College’s Digital Futures Strategy by providing a range of blended learning support to students to enable them to be successful in their chosen course of study. Liaising with curriculum departments in a proactive manner the Learning Resource Assistant will identify and develop learning resources, both printed and online, to support independent study and will ensure that students are supported during personal and timetabled study in the College’s Learning Resource Centres.
The Learning Resources Practitioner will assist with the development and maintenance of the Library Management Systems, the online presence of the LRC service.
Marketing Assistant:
The Marketing Assistant part of the role is responsible for providing high quality support to the Marketing team, with its campaigns and events amongst other activities, in order to enable the College to meet its objectives. Team working and communications within an overall approach that values people will be of key importance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students working on learning and assessment activities in the Learning Resource Centres
- Liaise with curriculum areas to ensure that the Learning Resource Centres support the delivery of online teaching, learning and assessment
- Provide a high quality, pro-active and user-focused service to staff and students within the Learning Resource Centres
- Create displays to promote library services and resources
- Provide first-line IT Support within the Learning Resource Centres
- Monitor and manage incoming marketing requests from staff
- Assisting the Events Manager with marketing events
- Supporting the marketing team with administrative tasks e.g. raising purchase orders, liaising with external suppliers, competitive monitoring.
- Supporting the Digital & Social Media Marketer with campaigns and communications.
- Assisting in maintaining various databases for marketing and event purposes.
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
- Good standard of education including GCSE in Maths/English (Grades A* to C)
- Strong administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail
- 2 to 3 A Level passes or equivalent in a relevant subject desirable
- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject desirable
