Job Title: Learning and Development Adviser

Location: Norwich

Salary: £34,834 to £36,648 per annum (Scale I)

Job Type: Full Time, Fixed term contract until 31 May 2026

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Do you have a passion for developing people? Do you have a background in Learning and Development with experience in writing learning content using a variety of media e.g. advanced PowerPoint Skills, creative writing, scriptwriting or making videos and podcasts? Do you have expertise in the creation of innovative learning and workforce development solutions? Can you utilise a combination of training delivery methods including digital to drive the best engagement and outcomes?

We are looking for two full-time Learning and Development Advisers with a particular strength in Digital Skills and learning.

The Learning and Development Adviser aligns to the HR Adviser – Workforce Development job description.

This exciting opportunity to be part of a 2 year project to create and deliver sustainable learning content and organisational development activities for managers and leaders throughout our organisation. You will be responsible for the planning, designing, creation and evaluation of a range of learning and development solutions as part of our management and leadership development programmes.

About you:

You will need a good understanding of developing accessible digital content and delivering effective online learning activities. The ability to use digital content development software at an advanced level would be invaluable, so you can quickly integrate into our friendly team.

The ideal candidate will have a can-do approach, be a self-starter, able to manage their own workload and work flexibly within the workforce development team.

You will:

  • Be innovative when developing and creating digital content and virtual learning solutions.
  • Have demonstrable first-class knowledge and experience of content curation and creation using a variety of media, including digital learning methods and how they can effectively be applied at scale across a large organisation.
  • Offer advice and guidance to leaders and managers across the organisation
  • The ability to create clear and engaging written content
  • Have initiative and clear ownership for your deliverables so you require minimal supervision.
  • An existing Learning and Development background or knowledge
  • Be proactive, and actively able to anticipate existing and future needs of the business.
  • Be a strong and visible communicator that can build a reputation as a trusted learning and development adviser to HR and the business.
  • Be curious and analytical when it comes to assessing how we continuously improve our services.
  • Be collaborative and willing at the same time to challenge the status quo.
