Job Title: Lead Quality Engineer
Location: High Post, Salisbury
Salary: £44,000 – £52,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent/Full-time
This role will be worked over a 4.5 day week; Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:45 and Friday 08:00 – 12:30. Flexibility in this role is critical to the success of supporting the team. In return, there will be an opportunity to sometimes work from home.

The Role:
The Lead Quality Engineer will be required to ensure that manufacturing process controls are adequate and robust and that they comply with the QMS and support NPI processes. You will Lead the Quality Focus continuous improvement Pillar and support NPP processes and to use various quality tools and techniques and statistical techniques to improve products and processes across the site.
The responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Take the lead in supporting Manufacturing in resolving quality issues and their cause.
- Support Manufacturing in resolving quality issues and their cause.
- Be responsible for and managing the workload of the “Quality Focus” Pillar of work and other Continual Improvement projects as required.
- Lead, support and mentor the Quality Engineers in their development within CCM, to includes setting and measuring objectives.
- Take the lead on Quality activities required through the NPP process, being actively involved in the early design stages to ensure Quality is built into the design.
- Identify and implement preventive control measures to ensure finished product quality.
- Work to develop manufacturing Process Controls and documentation.
- Be responsible for Greenbelt projects or other Continual Improvement projects as set by the QA and BI Director.
- Take responsibility for Quality activities required through the NPP process for NPI projects assigned by the Head of Quality.
- Support Design FMEAs, facilitate Process FMEAs and generate Process Control Plans.
- Carry out or review risk assessments and support the Departmental Safety Review / meetings as and when required.
Quality Engineer Specification:
- Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to obtain SC level clearance
- Must have continually resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years
- HNC or BTEC level 5 equivalent in an engineering related discipline
- ISO9001:2015, TS16949 or similar experience
- Proficient in MS Office
