The role:
As a Junior Software Engineer you will play an integral role in the success and growth of the team and company. Working in a cross functional agile team along with other developers, you will contribute to a collaborative team environment bringing ideas and improvements to the development process.
You will ensure that quality software is delivered according to specification, while the correct procedures are followed in-line with technical/business objectives and company strategy.
Initially working on the existing technology stack, this role will eventually move to working on the new SaaS product.
You must have a keen attention to detail and unbounding enthusiasm (and ability!) to learn and take on new skills, both personal and technical.
The role is a hybrid one, part-remote & part office-based the details of which can be arranged with your line manager.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Working within an established and experienced development team comprising working to build and deliver our cutting edge SaaS products.
- Collaborate with Front-end Developers, Mobile Devs and Data Engineers to deliver performant and feature-rich API’s and services
- Building reusable and maintainable code for future use
- Optimising solutions for maximum speed and scalability
- Lead by example by producing high quality and robust solutions
- Learn and apply new technology, approaches and best practices and introduce them to the team/
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Be self-managing and escalating where appropriate
The Candidate:
- Experience with coding with C# using .NET Core and/or other .NET frameworks.
- Some experience with Javascript frameworks such as Angular/React.
- Some experience with cloud and/or serverless technologies (e.g. Azure, Kubernetes, Docker) is preferable.
- Some experience of using Dev Ops pipelines & practices.
- Unit testing
- Experience developing and maintaining services and API’s for consumption by mobile and web applications.
- Experience in developing multi-lingual and international applications would be advantageous
- Experience of using Source Control systems, e.g. Git.
