The role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Junior Software Developer to join our IT Team. We are looking for someone who can join a growing and dynamic team to build a stronger IT function for the future. You will assist with the development of the recently installed ERP system, based mainly around C# code and SSRS reporting.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Work alongside senior members of the IT Team, as well as mangers from all areas of the business, to identify and scope further developments to the ERP system.
- Write and test agreed modification in development environment, before implementing into live system
- Use the helpdesk system to prioritise tasks and plan time accordingly
- Liaise with wider staff within the business to diagnose and fix bugs
- Make changes to existing, and design new, SSRS reports at both shop floor and board level
- Provide cover for team members where needed
- Ad-hoc duties delegated by line manager
The Candidate:
- Strong individual with an analytical approach with attention to detail
- Self-motivated and can work under pressure
- A can-do attitude, able to overcome obstacles with a team approach
- Troubleshooting/fault fixing technical problems
- An enthusiastic approach to work with an eye for detail and pride in a job well done.
- Organisational and planning skills to manage your time and to meet deadlines and objectives
- Interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels and to motivate others
- Written and spoken communication skills that allow you to inform and advise others clearly
Knowledge, Training and Experience required
- Writing C# code
- SQL or equivalent RDBMS.
- SSRS (Desirable)
- An understanding of project methodologies.
