Job Title: Junior Project Coordinator / Estimator
Location: Head Office – Croydon (some nationwide travel required)
Salary: £24,000 upwards dependant on experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
A bit about us:
Meridian Design and Build Ltd have been established over 20 years and due to continued growth in the construction/ fit-out industry are now looking to recruit a full time, permanent Junior Project Coordinator/ Estimator to support their management team to deliver projects nationwide from beginning to the end.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the management team by estimating and tendering projects
- Supporting a team with the overall management of projects from start to finish
- Full project coordination
- Attending meetings with Clients and their Design Team, including project site meetings with a strong customer focus
- Analysing and submitting tender documents
- Preparing bill of quantities/ scope of works
- Administrative responsibilities, processing documents, reading drawings, costing and any other duties required by management team
The Candidate:
- Be educated to A-Level standard (or equivalent)
- Have a degree or HND in either Building Surveying; Construction Management; Quantity Surveying
- Have proven experience of project coordination and project planning
- Ideally have experience in construction or a keen interest within this area / property, quantity surveying
- Be self-motivated, personable and have excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Have a positive attitude and be adaptable to change
- Be commercially astute
- Have excellent mathematical skills and proficient with Microsoft excel, plus ideally now Microsoft Projects knowledge
- Full driving licence
- Be willing to travel and work flexible hours when necessary
