Role Overview:
We are currently looking for a junior finance assistant to work as a Bills processor within our finance department. This role will sit within a seven-person legal cashier team, as part of a wider Finance team of twelve; reporting to the Senior Legal Cashier.
You will be part of a small, dedicated team responsible for processing bills, payments and receipts on personal injury claims.
This is a new role to the business and we will be looking to the successful candidate to help develop the role further offering ideas for improvement and streamlining.
Experience of this area of work would be useful but not essential, as full training will be given on the job.
Key duties:
- Raising and processing bills with reference to information provided by the company’s file handlers;
- Liaising with file handlers and/or the legal cashier team in relation to any queries and dealing with these in a timely manner;
- Other duties as may be required by the firm.
Person specification
Required Qualifications/Training:
- Knowledge of solicitors accounts an advantage but not essential;
- GCSE Maths and English grade C or above (or international equivalent).
Required Attributes
- Strong arithmetic skills;
- Computer literacy;
- Have the confidence and ability to communicate at senior levels;
- Strong sense of responsibility;
- Have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- 37-hour working week Monday to Friday
- We offer our employees a 3/2 alternate remote working rota, upon successful completion of probationary period
- 23 days holiday, rising 1 day per year to a max of 26 days, plus bank/public hols. Please note, the office is closed between Christmas and New Year and 3 holidays are reserved for this period.
