The role:
Provide support for the design, build, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of sales-i’s application environments and the pipelines that underpin our SaaS products.
You will do this working closely with our talented Tech Ops, Dev, Data Engineering and QA teams.
Key results area:
- Create, implement, maintain and build new Azure environments and build/deploy pipelines.
- Work to DevOps best practices and standards.
- Quickly and clearly identify and investigate issues through to resolution.
- Identify and recommend solutions that benefit sales-i and ultimately our customers.
- Maintaining security standards following DevSecOps best practices and adhering to business policies and procedures.
Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Deputise for the Senior DevOps engineer when needed
- Work with the Tech Ops and Development team to develop Azure Dev Ops and Github pipelines for current and new SaaS products and solutions.
- Support the processes for optimising, improving and migrating the existing Azure (and non Azure) based pipelines for existing products.
- Maintain the environment, build and deployment standards.
- Triage DevOps requests and escalate to the Senior DevOps engineer when required
- Performance tuning of pipelines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot pipeline and environment issues.
- Work with QA team to integrate their test automation into the CI pipelines.
- Identify vulnerabilities detected in the deployment pipeline, escalating when required.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and IaaS environments and scripting.
- Managing Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of IaC specifically Terraform
- Knowledge of enterprise monitoring platforms including Datadog
- DevSecOps knowledge and experience
- Exposure to databases, specifically PostgreSQL and MSSQL
- Awareness of microservice infrastructures (e.g. Azure Functions).
- Basic Linux system administration.
- Basic Windows server administration.
- Experience of deploying Azure cloud architecture and services
- Knowledge of programming languages, ideally Go and Node (Vue and NextJs)
- Exposure of managing and maintaining mono repositories
Working relationships include:
- Tech Ops, QA & Development.
- Customers, and third-party software providers.
- Colleagues from other departments, like: Customer Success, Data, Sales, Support, Training.
