About the role:
Painted Bespoke Joinery is currently seeking multiple dedicated and skilled Bespoke Joinery Craftsmen/Craftswomen to join our dynamic workshop based in Croydon, London. The successful candidates will be responsible for bringing our clients’ visions to life through expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. The role will heavily involve working closely with clients to understand their unique requirements, utilizing your creativity and technical skills to design and create bespoke joinery pieces. From the initial concept phase to the final finishing touches, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and implement intricate architectural plans and blueprints, demonstrating a strong understanding of design specifications.
- Overseeing the machine automated process of precision cutting, shaping, and treatment of timber and construction materials to create bespoke joinery pieces, meeting clients’ unique requirements.
- Expertly assemble wooden structures, kitchens, doors, media units, understairs storage and similar on-site using a diverse range of tools and techniques including Lamello.
- Collaborate effectively with a team of experienced professionals, ensuring seamless coordination to meet project deadlines.
- Adhere to the highest standards of safety and health regulations, ensuring a secure working environment for all team members.
- Handle diverse furniture needs, such as restoration, French polishing, lacquer finishes, repairs, and stain treatment, catering to clients’ individual preferences.
Skills Required:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a joiner or similar.
- Knowledge of various joiner techniques.
- Ability to work on projects both alone and with the team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High customer service skills ensuring client satisfaction from start to finish.
- Organisation, flexibility and time management are crucial along with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
- Vocational qualifications preferred.
- UK work authorisation.
