About the IT Support Technician role:
We have a great opportunity for an IT Support Technician. The role will be responsible for the support, administration, maintenance and development of the Company telephony, IT network, business systems and PC hardware infrastructure. Key responsibilities:
- Administrate and maintain the network infrastructure and central servers on a day-to-day basis.
- Monitor antivirus and firewall services, reporting irregularities and ensuring data security.
- To assist with projects in respect to development, implementation, and testing, ensuring 3rd party SLAs for IT and Telephony services are met.
- To ensure that the Group is aware of and complies with all relevant legislation.
- Respond to all end user IT requests and resolve in a timely manner.
- Setting up new users/configuring mailboxes and amend global email distribution lists together with delivering new user IT inductions training for both PC and laptop users.
Essential Skills for the IT Support Technician Role:
You will have proven experience in IT Systems / Network support to include but not limited to Cyber security, backend functionality, business systems implementation, fault recovery, hardware & software and setting up user access.
Ideally you will be Educated to ‘A’ level standard and have a working knowledge of:
- Office 365 – Extended bundle
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Defender
- Hardware Management
- Software troubleshooting
- Management of cloud-based telephone system
- Management of third-party supplier relationships
- Requirement for knowledge of anti-virus, anti-spam, and anti-spyware software
