Salary: £19,500 – £21,500 pa, based on skills, experience and qualifications
About The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic IT Support Technician to join our growing IT Team, based within a busy and vibrant manufacturing environment. It’s the ideal role for someone looking to build a career in IT and to broaden and strengthen their existing technical skills. You will be the 1st line of support for everyday IT issues/queries, responsible for troubleshooting and providing efficient and timely solutions to users at all levels of the business.
Here’s What You Can Expect To Be Doing:
- Monitor and manage support requests through existing helpdesk system
- Liaise with different departments to discuss issues and plan resolutions
- Escalate issues which cannot be resolved – either to 2nd line internal support or external hardware vendor
- Setup of computers, laptops, and printers
- Setup of user account and Office 365 email addresses
When You’ll Be Working:
You will be working a 37.5 hour week between Monday to Friday.

- Ability to manage workload and prioritise task completion
- A logical approach to troubleshooting/fault finding
- A can-do attitude, able to overcome obstacles often with a team focused approach
- Interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels of the business
- Written and spoken communication skills that allow you to inform and advise others clearly
You Will Possess:
- An enthusiasm for IT and a good base knowledge of how systems work
- Knowledge of key software and hardware including: Windows 10, Office, and hardware including desktop PCs and printers.
- Windows Server/Active Directory/Hyper V would be advantageous.
- Any A-Level, or BTEC National Diploma Level IT Certification would be advantageous.
- Basic understanding of IT networking and configuration
- Technical aptitude – the ability to learn new technologies quickly
