Meridian Legal Systems have been providing software to the legal profession since 1995. Our bespoke software package is a straightforward and logical solution to help practices improve their Legal Accounts, Time Recording & Billing as well as their legal case and document management. We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our small but established Legal software and IT support company.
About the role:
You will be working as part of our team maintaining all aspects of our client’s IT hardware/software.
This is a full-time position working remotely from home but will include travel for occasional client on-site visits and company meetings.
The successful candidate must have good communication skills and be willing to learn.
Key Duties:
- Ensure quality IT support is delivered to our clients
- Helpdesk support at all levels to our clients
- Procuring, configuring and installing IT systems and services (remote and on-site)
- Maintain and support the company’s IT systems to achieve best possible availability
- Drive operational excellence and maintain SLA to the businesses we support
- Develop and create user guides, training material and other documentation as needed for business systems
About you:
- Hands-on technical experience of networking and network security
- Microsoft 365/Azure AD setup and administration
- Experience of windows server (2016/2019/2022) – setup and support
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Networking – i.e. DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP. Active Directory
- Experience of implementing and troubleshooting routers/firewalls/switches & WI-FI access points
- Experience of architecting and managing production environments across physical, virtualised and cloud technologies
- Understanding/experience of VLAN/WIFI/VOIP networking
- Good understanding of Cyber Security requirements
- Configuring and maintaining virtualised environments with Hyper-V and VMware.
- Anti-virus/backup software Installation and Support
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail.
- Ability to apply sound troubleshooting methodology to isolate and resolve root cause of reported issues
