This Property Management Group specialises in the ongoing management of large residential developments. An award-winning company based in Cambridge and with offices in London, Sandhurst and Nottingham, they work across East Anglia, London, the Home Counties, the South and East Midlands, and have plans for further growth.
The Group employs over 200 people with approximately 120 office based and 80 mobile staff, and all of these staff are supported from the Cambridge head office. The Role

The Group is looking for a new addition to the IT and Operations department who will bring energy, accuracy and an abundance of customer service skills. Supporting the company’s office and site-based staff, the IT department is responsible for maintaining the IT systems and for providing efficient desktop support, resolving any IT-related faults quickly and efficiently. As a small department responsible for the IT across all 5 offices, it is imperative to be flexible and to have a can-do attitude.
The IT and Operations department is responsible for all software and hardware across the business including Qube software, training and development of processes and procedures. Working as a team of 5 staff overall, IT and Operations will work closely together to ensure the best possible service to the business.
The right candidate will have previous experience in:
- An IT Support role and demonstrate a customer centric approach to their work
- Communicating in a confident manner across all levels in the business and with both technical and non-technical staff is a requirement
- Logging calls onto the system, and dealing with users remotely or face to face
- The support engineer will also assist in numerous projects which will include upgrades and office moves
This role would be ideal for someone with a background in 1st line and 2nd line support.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1.5 years’ experience working within a similar IT Support or project facing role
- Knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server 2016/2012, Microsoft Exchange 2016, Active Directory administration Understanding / knowledge of networking (HP, Routing, Switching, TCP/IP, DHCP)
- Knowledge of Citrix including Citrix XenApp and Microsoft Remote Desktop services
- Knowledge of scripting in a Windows environment (e.g. PowerShell and VBSript)
- Knowledge of Virtualisation technologies CompTIA A+ qualification preferable
- Exceptional customer service and confident communication skills
- Good organisational and workload management skills specifically with the ability to prioritise own work
- Ability to consult and communicate effectively to all levels of staff
There is an exciting future planned for the IT and Operations department and this role will be at the centre of these developments. Upgrades planned in the coming year include implementing a video conferencing solution to allow remote meetings and training, the journey to the cloud from the current on-premise solution and Wi-Fi upgrades across all offices.
